This fan puts out a lot of air but is not quiet. I can put up with it for the amount of air it puts out but you couldn't use it for sleeping.

I am happy with this fan. It works as advertised. Has a nice quality grounded cord, seems to be made of all metal to last. Nice product. I use this fan to help me sleep. I turn it on and the sound of this fan helps me sleep. Blows a nice amount of air for it's size and the volume of this fan is pretty quiet. The pitch-sound of this fan is a lower-pitched blowing sound unlike some fans that have a high-pitched blowing sound. This fan produces a nice low-pitched even-sound. It puts out more air than it sounds like it's doing.

Some of the reviews on this product weren't encouraging, but I decided to try it anyway. This little fan is very quiet on all speeds and pushes air really well for it's size. I plan on purchasing another one.

Review by JFS : It's Ok 
This fan is alright. It's fairly quiet for it's size, air moves quite well, and seems to avoid the common problem of the motor getting hot; it's been running almost non-stop for weeks, and the back motor-plate is still only warm to the touch.
I do have two problems with the design. The first is that the rotor cage feels rather flimsy and thinner than I'd have liked. It would have been better with slightly thicker cage wire. Second problem is that the the cage-face is screwed into the back piece, rather than using clamps. This will mean that I'll have to remove the screws in order to clean the inner surface of the cage as well as the blades of the fan.
Other than those two problems, the fan is quite decent.
