This Cuisinart Ice Cream and Sorbet Maker is fairly easy and fun to use. My kids and I had a great time making the ice cream together. They do recommend you to put the bowl in the freezer a few hours before you start. Once you have all the ingredients, it's just a matter of putting them together and watching the machine mix it to perfect consistency. The noise is a bit much but cleaning is a breeze which was far more important for me. I would recommend this for the price and for those special moments with the family making something from scratch!

I was pretty excited when this arrived. After reading the directions, I put the freezer bowl in the freezer then went to Safeway, were I bought a lot of fruit, some chocolate chips, milk (I usually don't have any) and a lot of other stuff that I planned on making ice cream out of.

The next day I was ready to make Ice Cream and I did, chocolate chip. The next day butter pecan, then coffee. Yes, I know you can make healthy ice cream and I did, both strawberry and green tea. And you can make yogurt, but I haven't. I might, but I'm loving my ice cream, really, really loving it.

A note: Your ice cream comes out on the soft side, but I put in in the freezer and in a couple hours it's as cold and hard as ice cream is supposed to be.

Who knew making icecream could be so fun and creative!
My husband and I have been enjoying this product a little too much, plus the kids too!
What an excellent product, customer service and great time on delivery!
Would highly recommend this product!

Although you have to freeze the bowl before using, what we do is as soon as we clean it from a batch of icecream,
it goes right back into the freezer for next times use! We love it!

I love this thing! I tried to rush my first batch and didn't let the bowl freeze long enough and the ice cream turned to slush. The 2nd time around, i froze the bowl a full 24 hours and it worked perfectly. I tried the vanilla recipe in the front of the recipe booklet that it comes with and it is okay (tasted straight up like vanilla extract to me) but the basic chocolate recipe is really good! I let mine run for like 25 minutes and the ice cream had a really great consistency. It stayed super creamy after being put in the freezer overnight too. Can't wait to start trying some more varied recipes.
