Wacom CTH460 Bamboo Pen & Touch Tablet (Factory Refurbished)
Review by Rachel Beavin "somethingclever" : Perfect first time graphics tablet
Let me start by saying I have never owned a Graphics Tablet before and I am a PC user.
I am a graphic designer and wanted something I could use for cartooning and illustrating. This foots the bill perfectly.
The pen input is fantastic and has twice the pressure sensitivity as the Bamboo Pen. I know, I thought they were the same too, but check the specs on wacom's site.
It is responsive and easy to adjust to. I have only been using it for one week and feel like I have gotten the hang of it. The live area is huge and the size of the tablet itself isn't so big you can't travel with it.
The touch input is fine. I have the new drivers so it seems like a lot of the bugs I hear people talk about are fixed. It is a breeze to surf the web with. I don't use the touch function to draw with, just navigate.
The hot keys on the side of the tablet are awesome, them set (with commands in Photoshop) from top to bottom as follows: toggle touch on/off, Undo, zoom in, zoom out. It really has streamlined my production process.
As far as it being refurbished I can't tell in any way, there were no fingerprints, or scuffs, or anything on it.
It came in the same package as a new one and I got the same software as a new one.
Five Stars. Highly recommend for graphic design or digital illustration use.

Review by Gustavo Pe : Wacom Tablet a Winner, software unavailable
PAD - Winner
The pad is more than expected and more exciting than anticipated.
Although it was a refurbished item it came in pretty good condition.
SOFTWARE - Looser
The software came with the original disk but on a different CD slip envelope which did not have the software key to activate Adobe Elements.
I now have software that I can not install or practice on.
I tried mailing the company that did the sale but my mail gets returned with a "full incoming mail basquet" message.
What can I do???

Review by James Horn "Jim Horn, WB9SYN" : Great tablet!
First off, I'm a graphics tablet neophyte. I've been using computers since 1971(!) and built my first in '77. But a Lifehacker web post, "Digital Painting 101" <[...]> caught my attention. Also, using a mouse every day as an electrical design engineer was causing increasing shoulder pain.
So after looking at the market and what's available, I ordered this refurbished Bamboo Pen & Touch (CTH460). The price is right - less than the Adobe Photoshop Express 7 that comes with it - and the other reviews I saw recommend it.
Right off, it is simple to set up and works fine on my Toshiba WinXP Home laptop and my Dell D400 and lenovo T61P WinXP Pro laptops. The Gimp, a free open-source graphics editor/drawing program, is a delight with it. I'm still not to the point of abandoning the mouse (25+ years of habit is hard to break) but I'm using it more all the time.
The pen is well designed, easy to hold and use, and the lack of battries is a real plus. The touch input is cleverly done, using multitouch well (it *is* limited to one or two finger inputs - three or more are totally ignored).
With the discount for the refurbished version, I ended up with the wide compatibility, support and user community of a Wacom product at the expense of a generic no-name tablet. That's hard to beat!

Review by AlessandraCo "Alessandra" : Great touch tablet!
This worked like a charm as soon as I installed it. The quality is good and the settings are adjustable to fit your preference on scrolling speed and such. I like the little Wacom tag on the side that holds the pen. This is a good product at a great price.

Review by Donald W. Otto : Refurbished product works great!
I bought one of these a few weeks ago at a higher price and it was also refurbished. I can't tell that it was refurbished and it works great. Amazed how good it is. No need to spend the extra money on a new one when the refurbished products perform well.
