Genius G-Pen F610 Ultra-Slim Tablet
Review by Luis Alberto Garcia Alonso "http://luisgalons... : Great product
The product arrived much earlier than expected, which is great news!
The tablet and pen both work perfectly smooth. I am not into freehand painting, just done a couple of sketches, and looked good enough. As good as they would look with a pencil :)
With photoshop, the improvement is just great! For me it is much more efficient than the mouse. After a very short learning curve you are ready to take full advantage of the dinamics part of the tools, and you will be working faster and better with photoshop.
I have read some concerns about the tip wearing out... I don't have any issues with that so far. I have been retouching around 200 photografies with the tablet, and so far so good.
I really recomend it.
It is not a high end model, but it is great for photo-retouching and doing some sketches.
With windows vista you have also the full power of the tablet input method, and you can write anywhere with writing-recognition instantly available.
I love it!

Review by Katie M. Crane "photoshop geek" : Not so great with 3-d
I am a freelance designer who is just starting out and getting ready to go back to school. This graphics tablet works better than my training tablet, although there are a few things that irk me.
The macro buttons wouldn't work for me on my laptop, even through I had programed them the way I wanted. Also, when I would make sweeping lines while painting in PS, it tended to trip the macros in the top and open all the programs.
Also, it's hard to use this with Blender. Trying to use the buttons for all the commands is really hard -- sometimes you have to press the buttons several times for the menus to come up.
Having the extra tips for drawing is always a plus, since even the top of the line models require them after heavy use, but that shouldn't be a problem. I've been using my tip now for six months, and there's hardly any wear on it.
Other than those problems, this is a wonderful tablet. It works great with XP, and with any design software. If you're a beginner at tablets, this one is great to learn on.

Review by F. A. Sully "I know nothing" : It works
I'm writing this review using cursive recognition on the tablet itself, so it can't be all bad. For the price it is fantastic. Its not a Wacom: it takes more pressure to make a mark, and the feel isn't as nice as a Wacom, but at about 30% the price of the equivalent Wacom, it has to be considered an overall great deal, and recommended for anyone who can't afford an lntuos.
